WESTERN UNION TELEGRAM

The next station card will be revealed when you start the round.

How to play

Goal: Score the most points by typing telegrams across 6 stations.
Each round: (1) A telegram card is revealed with two prompt blanks (e.g., color + zoo animal). (2) Every player blind-bids coal (pass-and-play). Higher bid arrives first; everyone pays their bid. (3) Players act in bid order: each may claim a bigram token or pick a word for an empty blank. The top two bidders fill the two blanks; lower bidders may only claim bigram tokens. (4) All players, in turn, assign value tokens (+5 to −2) to any unassigned letters in the two filled words and "transmit" to score.
Tiebreak: bid ties favor the current leader. Bids are paid even if you lose.
