Mechanic Preview
A multi-item auction structure where you literally cannot overspend.
Every card holds 2–8 identical items at a posted per-item cost. All players secretly choose how many items to bid for. When demand matches supply, everyone wins their bid. When demand exceeds supply — a jam — each player takes only what’s left after subtracting everyone else’s bids (capped at their own bid, never negative).
A jam that leaves items uncovered ticks the per-item cost up by $1 and offers Auction Again on the same card at the higher price. If demand falls short of supply, the leftover items are discarded due to lack of demand — the card closes, Auction Again is no longer available, and you can only deal a New Card.
